Hampton Inn Hickory

Up to the standards one would expect in Hampton Inn. The big plus was they do allow dogs albeit with a $50 charge. The room was modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable, the couch not so much. The bath towels were top notch. The only complaint with the room was the air conditioner. It was a wall unit and constantly cycled on and off every 15 minutes. Hot, cold, hot, cold. Kind of annoying. And Loud. Breakfast was your standard free buffet. Waffles were good, eggs terrible, smoked sausage blah. Coffee was good, though. As far as location, great for getting on and off the interstate.

We had a great stay-one night on the way to work a festival. The hotel was spotless with excellent cleanliness throughout. Everything felt brand new thanks to the recent renovation which was a wonderful surprise! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was quick, efficient, and just what we needed to start the day. All facilities were well-maintained and very clean. We stayed on the 5th floor at the very end of the hall-very quiet. Mattress was comfortable and air con was perfect! Highly recommend!

From traveling a far distance to having the not so fun experience of having your air conditioning go out for the weekend the Hampton inn should be your place to stay. Friendly smiles throughout all staff members. HOT breakfast every morning with a different selection every day. 12 pm checkout with no additional fees. Free fresh baked cookies during mid day (which I might add were delicious). Sam and David were awesome. And Mike was so wonderful to talk to during breakfast. Our experience was so great we just had to leave a review. Even with renovations going on, and not being able to use the Hampton inn pool, we still had the option to use the pool next door if we wanted. 10/10 Hampton Inn. We will most definitely be coming back for another stay. Thank you for everything!

Our first stay last night. Will be back in a month. Friendly staff. Freshly renovated ROOMY rooms. Large comfy bed. Nice large tv. We heard no night noise. Slept great. Our new go to in town.

First time staying at Hampton Inn, Hickory, NC. Can I say, "Perfect?" I cannot say how this hotel was in the past, but I believe the renovations currently going on were done quietly. Unless I saw those individuals doing the work I never would have realized anything was going on. I was very impressed! I booked the room through the Hampton Inn site. Tamara was very professional and a delight to speak with her. No complaints with my room. Very updated features. Breakfast was fantastic too. Quiet everywhere I walked, even outside my room. PS. My family stayed with me...my cat, Buddy! No issues here either. Like I said...PERFECT!

Love this Hampton! Probably the nicest one I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms were spacious. The staff (especially Sam) were great! Great fitness center. The breakfast was good. It must be new or recently remodeled. Very well done. And it was quiet! I will definitely stay here again if I come to the area.

Even with renovations going on, our stay at the Hampton was still wonderful. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Travis was especially helpful and truly went above and beyond, such a great employee who made our stay even better. Would absolutely stay here again!

Had a recent 4 day stay and it was outstanding. Very easy to get to from I-40. The staff was very courteous and met all my needs including placing me near the door so I could walk my dog. The hotel is quite quiet. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, better than the other Hamptons I stayed at on my trip. I will definitely be staying here again when I return next spring.
